A perennial, erect herb about 90cm tall, found in sub-tropical zone.
Plant Description:
Leaves simple elliptic-oblong to lanceolate, hairy on both sides. Inflorescence 1-5 flowered. Inflorescence in axillary or terminal spikes. Flower actinomorphic, purple blue, pink or white. Corolla bell-shaped. Fruit a capsule.4-seeded.
Flowering and Fruiting:
July- September.
Harvesting Time:
August-November.
Medicinal Value:
Locally it is used in bronchitis pneumonia, wound swelling and also has anti-inflammatory activity.

Whole plant.
Occurrence:
Common.
