Habit & Habitat:
A perennial herb, with leafy,erect to spreading stem,up to 20-80cm tall,found in sub-alpine and alpine zones.
Plant Description:
Leaves compound, lower leaves long stalked with 5-leaflets. Leaflets ovate.Upper leaves short stalked with 3-leaflets. Leaflets narrower elliptic. Inflorescence in terminal panicles. Flower actinomorphic,dark crimson to bright rose.Petals round shallowly notched. Fruit an achene, numerous.
Flowering and Fruiting:
June-September.
Harvesting Time:
July- October.
Medicinal Value:
Locally leaves are used for healing burns and root as diuretic.

Leaf and root.
Occurrence:
Common at high altitudes.

Conservation, Cultivation, Herbal Pharmacy.
