- Annual herb up to 50 cm tall, found in forest clearing and slopes of temperate and sub-alpine zones.
- Plant Description:
- Tuber sessile, ovate-oblong. Stem slender,leafy. Leaves simple, oblong with acute tips. Inflorescence a spike, up to 18cm long. Flower zygomorphic, green-yellow. Sepals dark green. Dorsal sepals broadly ovate and lateral ovate or oblong, spreading or deflexed. Petals yellowish-green, glabrous, spreading,curved inward. Spur slender, deflexed. Fruit a capsule, fusiform.

- Locally it is used to remove toxin from body as a blood purifier, also has aphrodisiac properties. Some local people believe that it is a symbol of fertility in humans.
