Habit & Habitat:
An annual, much hairy, climbing herb cultivated in sub-tropical and temperate zones and also has been naturalized at many places.
Plant Description:
Leaves compound,trifolioate. Leaflets obovate,rhomboid-ovate,hairy on both sides. Inflorescence an axillary raceme. Flower zygomorphic, purple. Fruit a pod hairy 5-6cm long. Seed bean-shaped, shining 5-6 in number.
Flowering and Fruiting:
May-October.
Harvesting Time:
June-November.
Medicinal Value:
It has aphrodisiac and antidepressant properties and locally used as a vegetable. It is investigated as highly potential medicinal plant in local area.
