An evergreen shrub with hairy parts, up to 1-2m tall, found in sub- tropical zone.
Plant Description:
Leaves simple,lanceolate,5-10 cm long,sub-sessile,glabrous above,hairy below.Hair star shaped,grey. Inflorescence a spike. Flower sub-sessile,white,many, fragrant.Calyx bell-shaped.Corolla 4-lobbed,6-7mm long.Fruit a capsule,oblong-ovate,glabrous,2-valved.
Flowering and Fruiting:
December-April.
Harvesting Time:
February-May.
Medicinal Value:
Locally it is used as antiseptic and antibiotic.

Uncommon.
