- A branched, hairy, annual herb, up to 100-130 cm tall, a weed in waste places, roadsides in sub-tropical zone.
- Taxonomic Features:
- Leaves simple, ovate, sinuate-dentate. Inflorescence axillary, solitary. Flower actinomorphic, large, white-cream, trumpet shaped. Calyx dentate, tubular, lobes 6-9mm long. Corolla 7-10cm long, limb up to 8 cm broad. Fruit a capsule, ovoid, spiny, 3-6cm long, dehiscing by 4-valves. Seed 3mm long, kidney shaped, black.

- Medicinal Value:
- A poisonous plant in large doses, but in small doses useful in asthma, malaria, earache, impotency and baldness. [6] Externally ease rheumatism. Local herbalists recommend four to six seeds with warm milk for impotency.
