Taxonomic Features:
Leaves compound,imparipinnate, aromatic and gland dotted. Leaflets opposite,sessile,elliptic to ovate-lanceolate. Midrib spiny below. Petiole and mid rib winged. Male flower yellow,small. Female flower greenish-yellow. Ovary 3-lobed.Fruit a capsule,red, splitting into two when ripe. Seed rounded, shining black.

March-September.

June-December.
Medicinal Value:
It has antiseptic, antiviral and antibiotic properties. [4][5] Locally it is used in toothache and earache, also as an appetizer. Fruit and stem extract is used as mouthwash.
