A branched annual herb up to 80 cm tall, cultivated as ornamental herb.
Taxonomic Features:
Leaves simple, rough, alternate and hairy. Basal leaves oblong-obovate while stem leaves oblong-lanceolate. Inflorescence a capitulum,4-5cm in diameter, terminal. yellow-orange. Ray florets are orange or yellow. Disk florets with triangular-lanceolate lobes. Fruit an achene, curved, brownish.

March-April.
Harvesting Time:
March-June.
Medicinal Value:
A remedy for skin problems and is applied externally to bites and stings, sprains, wounds, sore eyes, varicose veins. . It treats ulcers and stimulates bile flow, useful in face creams, oil treats skin problems. [5] It has antifungal, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Locally dry powder is used in wound healing and athlete's foot disease.
